When a client offered a property in Ibiza in exchange for a few cars and boats, they decided to take the plunge. The house turned out to be anything but what they'd expected: dilapidated and located in a neighborhood that needed significant social development. Yet, they saw something worth fighting for. Not only in the property itself, but also in the surrounding area.
Since then, Van Maaren has focused on creating new value on the island. They buy, restore, and rent homes with the same care and precision as their first cars, and develop real estate projects that contribute to both quality and the surrounding community.

In this well-watched episode, the Van Maaren family swapped places with the Jansen family from Vianen. Like true entrepreneurs, they quickly generated activity in the neighborhood and managed not only to maintain their weekly budget of 70 euros but even increase it to over 180 euros.
